A sculptural Signage and Wayfinding solution inspired by the building’s ‘shifting planes’ for a benchmark in workplace design.
Inspired by the riverside setting and the maritime character intrinsic to the Docklands location, the fluid forms and powerful internal spaces contribute to a commanding presence architected by Hassell.
Base-Building Signage Hierarchy
The HASSELL-designed ANZ Centre invites the public into the heart of its workplace, making it one of the most open and permeable banking headquarters in the world. Working in collaboration with the architects and Lend Lease, our comprehensive signage system and environmental graphics scheme reflected ANZ’s values and complied with the building’s 6 Star Green Star rating. Crafted as an extension to the architecture, the wayfinding solution features elegant sculptural forms directly inspired by the building’s ’shifting planes’. To define the hub environments and instil ANZ’s agile workplace culture, the studio also created a diverse range of installations and super-graphics, such as ‘Play’, ‘Create’, ‘Grow’, ‘Move’ and ‘Click’. This ‘urban campus’ also represents the next generation in design for collaboration. With most of its floor space dedicated to shared, interactive activity, it actively encourages the incidental connections so critical to today’s knowledge economy. Incorporating a raft of first-time green initiatives, the building is a global environmental and social sustainability benchmark.
